Watch: Science of Ice
This live virtual learning session for K-8th grade students will focus on melting ice and its relation to climate. Students will experiment with ice and engage with an online Arctic ice simulation throughout this interactive session. Students will get to experiment with ice during this fun, hands-on lesson requiring just a small bowl of ice, (clear) cups, black pepper, salt, a pencil, and dark and light-colored plates if students have them! If students lack any of these materials, they can still watch the demonstration experiment. Ice is the main ingredient that will allow them to participate for themselves. Students can follow along with the recorded demo.
