Local Civic Engagement on Climate Change

Abstract: iMatter is a youth-driven organization dedicated to inspiring and mentoring young people to make meaningful impact toward ending the climate crisis. iMatter's is currently focused on working with young people to drive and shape aggressive climate policy in their cities. Learn how iMatter's innovative youth-supported model teaches students about civics AND climate change and mentors them in local action. Hear case studies from communities around the country.

Bio: Larry Kraft is the Executive Director & Chief Mentor of iMatter. He left a successful high tech career 3 1/2 years ago to focus on doing something about climate change. At iMatter, Larry helps young people passionate about the issue to step into and use their power to push their cities to adopt aggressive climate change policies. Larry has a Bachelor of Science and MBA degree from Cornell University.
